Here comes one more preacher. Most people on this forum are no saint, they not even a man (or woman) enough to stand up for themselves.
We are a Union and thats how a union works that is actively supporting the cause of its members.
If one is stupid enough not to understand that we are trying to help everyone and thus this "one help" need to be demanded then god help that person.
Understood, we all may have problems but those could be solved with whatever our share of work we can do to support this cause.
If someone says that they don't know what IV policies and activites are and blames that nobody explained to them. Well... thats a lame excuse. It is very much on the front page of IV
Number is the bargaining power and we are here to bargain. Period.

We have applied for our AP renewal on 05/09 at NSC. I have noticed online status change to our I131s today with the following message. Is this a RFE? if so, what could be the RFE for AP? Your help and input appreciated.

I am sorry i donot agree with your point of view
Just imagine what will happen to the market flooded with EADs. Job market for H1Bs will totally be down. No US companies will hire H1Bs if they get somebody with an EAD. Tonnes of Junior developers and S/W testers will in the market driving the billing rates down even further. It's better to pack up and leave. I have heard from one of the forums here that an estimated 500K people will file this month since all PDs are current. EB-3 mexico + phillipines togther alone will be close to 300K. God help the Job market.
Also minimum wait time will be 500K/140K ~ 4 yrs before they get to process your GC. Add to that the time for namecheck backlog 2+ yrs. So total 6+ yrs before getting GC........

Folks, can dependent's participate in writing letters to President? I have already mailed my hand written letter to White House and copy to IV team, in addition to that I got confirmation from other Indians with whom I work also mailed their letters..If dependents are also allowed then count for another 10 letters from my side...;)

Ok, I've seen a lot of threads about go to the rally, actions items, I've reading a lot of guys saying dont ask for your receipt status, dont waste your time etc, etc.
What, are you 4 yrs. old man? If one works sincerely towards the cause, then he will realize the answer themselves, please try & think about that. Please help us work towards the goal. Nothing happens overnight, hope you are old & experienced enough to realize that or you must be an armchair quarterback. Please listen to "Time" by Pink Floyd & get your priorities straight.

I agree ..provided they have done thier BS in US university ..i know 80 % of the indian students ( leave IITs/IIMs) will do MS because they either didn't get any job in india or admission to higher degree program
I dont know about other members but it is hard for me to blv that IIT's and IIM's will come to US for a masters degree coz they could not find a job in India or they could not get an admit in a master's program.
If that was the case people would have stopped going got IIT's/IIM's. Why will someone work so hard to get to the top most program - to not get a job and then pursue MS from US OF A????

Yes sir, I do. I am suffering for 8 years now because of all these stupid USCIS rules. They think that by changing name from INS to USCIS things will change. Well, got a news for all, it is in worst shape than ever.

I don't think you get a sense of his problem, even though you claim you do...you are in fact beating a dead horse...I got your point regarding IV's efforts, and am not disputing that one bit, but at the same time when someone posts a valid concern/issue that they have, it doesn't hurt to have some empathy....I'm sure you wouldn't be too happy if you were in their place....

It seems every few weeks this discussion of VB predictions come up. Now neither Ron Gotcher nor Murthy nor Matthew Oh (or for that matter even God i think ;) ) can predict what the USCIS cut off dates will be. What is the point in debating whether Ron Gotcher is right or wrong? This is the United States, there is freedom of speech and anyone can say anything especially if it is just a prediction. We can assume a million things here, as to what the VB date should be, but will it be that? No one except the USCIS/DOS can actually confirm that.

I did post about this. We have seen professor's expert opinion letters showing the equivalency to the MA being approved. However, the evidence does point to an equivalency to a BA.

How can CA/ICWA be equivalent to MS programs as they are post high school courses? These courses do not require graduation for admission.

You never know! All the gray areas of payment, unenforceable contracts are a game of poker, he bluffed and you blinked. See if the reverse can happen now. Send him a mail or call him up and see his reaction. Say that you spoke to a lawyer and the recommended path is to begin with small-claims court and if that does not work out you will be filing a lawsuit. if he offers you anything back to avoid these hassles (say 3.5k) then go for it (& take your family out to hawaii this summer)
p.s: just as mbartosik said, you need documents to prove everything, hope you have all those, without that nothing will stand up in court (though you might scare him enough to actually pay you)

Initially I too got the same doubt that it could be a prank from my friend. But the name of the person who called me matches with the name of the person who visited my employer's office around 2 months back. After I got a call from ICE officer, I notified the same to my employer and explained about the call.
Really donno what to do.... Even though the ICE officer took prior appointment for visiting me, should I still contact attorney?
